    Samsonite was founded in 1910 by Jess Shwayder in Denver, Colorado. The firm was then only a suitcase's manufacture.

    Evolution:

    By the 20's, the familial firm manufacture in series its own suitcases very strong called Samson, reference to biblical hero then Samsonite from 1939.

    The sign 'Samsonite Company' was born in 1965.

    In 1974, Samsonite creates the first rolling suitcase.

    In 1993, it takes the control of American Tourister, supermarket distributed brand.

    The firm is redeemed by the investment fund company Bain Capital in 2003, then in 2007 by the capital-investment fund CVC Capital Partners.

    In 2009, losing money because of its very high range positioning, its new CEO Tim Parker comes back to the brand's basics, manufacturing very strong, light and high range but no luxurious luggage.

    In 2012, Samsonite Group announces a net profit multiplied by five for half year.
    The luggage's world leader, acquires in 2014 the young French brand Lipault after the lux brand Hartmann and outdoor brand High Sierra.

    Today:

    The brand Samsonite which headquarters situated in Luxembourg is the world's number 1 for luggage with quality products always more practical, light and strong.
